Gwinnett's 2004 SAT test-takers achieve highest-ever score
Gwinnett test-takers matched or set records on the verbal and math sections of the 2004 SAT, resulting in the county's highest-ever total score. Released results from the 2004 SAT I college admissions exam show Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students continue to outpace their peers on both the state and national levels.
"Our mission is to pursue excellence in academic knowledge and skills for each student," says CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks, "resulting in measured improvement against local, national, and world-class standards. The SAT is just such a standard and this year's record results are evidence that Gwinnett County Public Schools' focus on teaching and learning is making a difference for students."
