Mill Creek FAQ
Q: My son/ daughter reside in the Mill Creek attendance zone. May
he/ she remain at the school he/ she is currently attending?
A: Yes. If your student will be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade
next year he/ she will have the option to remain at Dacula or North
Gwinnett. That option must be exercised on or before February 2,
2004. They may remain at the current school through their high school
graduation. However, parents must provide transportation. Further,
student parking at these locations is often limited.
Q: We live in the Mill Creek Cluster. My student currently attends
Dacula Middle School or Lanier Middle School and will be in middle
school again next year. Will he/ she be able to remain at Dacula
Middle or Lanier Middle?
A: No. All students residing in the Mill Creek attendance zone
will attend Jones or Osborne Middle Schools. Both of these new Middle
Schools will open in August. It is likely that you have already
received information regarding these new schools.
Q: How many students are expected to enroll at Mill Creek for the
first year?
A: 2004-05 enrollment is expected to be approximately 2100 students
in grades 9-12.
Q: Will there be ample student parking facilities at Mill Creek?
A: Yes. For at least the first two years students will have plenty
of parking spaces. A valid driver's license and proof of insurance
will be required. Parking will carry a fee of $30.00 per semester,
$60.00 per year. Students may lose parking privileges for traffic
violations on campus and discipline infractions at school.
