About Us
“The Community Connection.” The name MiTowne was derived from the concept of supporting communities through the use of technological innovation.
The “i” in MiTowne stands for Innovation, Imagination and Internet. "Towne" is the old spelling of town and is a reminder of the importance of community values.
Connecting people in the community achieves many purposes. Some of these are:
1. Sharing of values 2. Supporting education 3. Citizenship 4. Local job creation 5. Helping communities financially through supporting local business
“The People’s Platform.” This is another community concept developed by MiTowne. Our observation is that most people do not have a platform from which to speak, yet many community members have valuable information to share. MiTowne is that platform.
